Roughly 12 months ago, Christian Pulisic was considered as one of the top talents in Europe and a key piece on Borussia Dortmund’s future puzzle. But things have change now, and the USMNT international has seemingly lost his place on the Bundesliga giants during the current term.

The emergence of Jadon Sancho, the recovery of Marco Reus, and Pulisic’s own woes to repeat last season’s performances have hurt his stock, and apparently the current Bundesliga leaders are open to his departure. Chelsea have taken note, and they have reportedly reached an agreement with Dortmund.

According to a report from German outlet Bild, The Blues have reached an agreement with Dortmund for the transfer of the 20-year-old phenom. The aforementioned report indicates that the American, who has been linked with a Premier League switch in recent weeks, is expected to join Chelsea on a next summer for approximately £45 million.

This should represent a huge blow for both Arsenal and Liverpool, as they were also said to be interested in Pulisic. But since the attacking midfielder has lost his place under Lucien Favre this term, he wanted out. And all signs indicate that he’ll be calling Stamford Bridge as “home” during the 2019/20 season.
