Aaron Ramsey’s Arsenal future is already decided but where he will move to is becoming less clear with every passing day. According to a Daily Mirror report, Paris St-Germain are muddying the waters further.
The French champions-elect held initial talks with the 28-year-old’s representatives as they look to replace Barcelona-bound Adrien Rabiot, 23. PSG are concerned that Bayern Munich and Juventus are higher priorities for the Welshman to the extent that they are prepared to offer Arsenal £9m in the January window to secure a deal.
A fly in the ointment for PSG is that Ramsey has other options with no obligation to take a move in January even if the Gunners agree a sale.
Reports out of Italy claim that a move to Juventus is Ramsey’s favoured option. The midfielder, it’s claimed, is “increasingly tempted” by a move to Turin, despite speculation about Max Allegri’s future. The 51-year-old head coach is being heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer.
For Bayern Munich, there is a growing sense of déjà vu. This time last year, the Bundesliga champions were keen on wantaway Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez, 30. However, they were outmanoeuvred by Manchester United with a £35m deal struck which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan, 28, move to the Emirates.
