There has been a lot of talk regarding Real Madrid and the upcoming summer transfer market due to the poor season Los Blancos have had. And while several big-name players have been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu outfit, two are the names that have gotten repeated the most.

Coincidentally, both play for Chelsea since we’re talking about Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante. While the Belgium international has been a target for Madrid since the first tenure of Zinedine Zidane, now the French defensive specialist has also gotten attention from Madrid’s officials.

However, it does not look as if Kante would end up completing the switch to the Liga giants any time soo. According to a report from the London Evening Standard, Kante was quote as saying: “I am at Chelsea, and I still have aims here — what is said elsewhere is not important.” So we can esentially pull the plug on any potential rumour that would bring the French star to Spain’s capitol city.

Things could be different with Hazard, though. The Belgian is yet to sign a contract extension with The Blues and while losing him could represent a huge hit, they already sealed a move to sign Christian Pulisic next summer and still have other decent alternatives for the wing roles such as Willian and Pedro.

The upcoming summer will undoubtedly be big for Los Blancos. Especially if they want to return to the place they were until last season.
