Juventus have one of the best midfield lines in the world, featuring players such as Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira and Blaise Matuidi, among others. However, the Serie A giants are not happy and are already looking at the market to bolster their depth towards the upcoming season.
With an eye towards improving their quality in the middle of the pitch, Juventus are beginning to take closer looks at several midfielders. One of them is Lazio’s playmaker Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, and it is believed the Serbian tops the club’s shortlist. But he is not the only player Juventus are looking at.
According to reports, Juventus are also taking a long, hard look at Liverpool’s defensive midfielder Emre Can, who will be a free agent once the current season ends. Tottenham’s Moussa Dembele, PSG’s Adrien Rabiot and Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey are also being considered, although these three seem to be longer shots than the likes of Milinkovic-Savic and Can.
As if that wasn’t enough, Juventus are also looking at two of the best young midfielders in the Serie A such as Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini and Atalanta’s Bryan Cristante, although the latter is currently owned by Benfica and it’s unclear if the Portuguese side wants to part ways with the talented playmaker on a permanent basis.
The one thing that is clear is that Juventus want to improve the midfield zone on the pitch. And they want to do it soon.
