Romelu Lukaku’s tenure at Manchester United hasn’t gone as expected, and there is a big chance that the Belgium international will end up leaving the club this summer. Especially since Serie A champions Juventus are on the lookout for him, and could try to make an approach to sign him during the upcoming summer.
The towering forward missed United’s last game where Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men destroyed Cardiff City to the tune of a 5-1 score, and he’s reportedly out on a compassionate leave so he might not return to the squad until AFTER the festive period. So far this season, he has failed to live to the expectations around him.
And in the meantime, several pundits are beginning to debate Lukaku’s future at Manchester United, especially after the emergence of both Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford in recent weeks. And Serie A champions Juventus want to take advantage of that to bring the former Chelsea and Everton star to the club.
Per reports, Lukaku is seen as a replacement for Mario Mandzukic in Turin. The Italian media claiming that Manchester United would not mind selling the Belgian in attempt to recoup a large amount of the £75 million invested in his signature.
Lukaku made 12 Premier League appearances this season and scored six goals during that time.
