Roberto Soriano made a name for himself while playing for Sampdoria in the Italian Serie A, but two years ago he decided to return home and signed with Villarreal. His first year with the club was excellent.

However, a massive dip in his form during the current term – hasn’t produced a single goal or assist thus far – has El Submarino Amarillo thinking about what to do with him. He is obviously an interesting player, but it seems he just does not fit with Villarreal anymore. And a sale is defintively on the cards for the 27-year-old playmaker.

One alternative for Soriano would be to return to Italy where he still has a high reputation, and one alternative would be to sign with Inter Milan. According to a report from Diario AS, the Neroazzurri side is reportedly keen to make a push for the Villarreal star.

It is believed that Inter have been keeping close tabs in Soriano from his time in the Serie A and they would be open to transfer discussions since they could potentially get the talented playmaker on a cheaper rate based on his current campaign.

The 27-year-old Soriano is under contract until 2021, and registers eight international appearances playing for Italy.
