There’s no question that Thomas Partey is a wanted man. The Atletico Madrid star might not be a flashy player, but he’s been instrumental to Atletico’s success during the current season and some of the bigger sides in Europe are already looking at him closely.

Two teams that are keen to make a move for the versatile 25-year-old Ghanian star are Manchester City and Inter Milan, according to a report from AS. Both clubs are expected to hold talks with Atletico officials in the near future and the plan, according to the Spanish outlet, would be to complete a potential summer transfer.

Both Inter and Manchester City could use someone like Partey. One of Inter’s biggest needs would be to sign a defensive-minded midfielder who can partner up with the likes of Marcelo Brozovic and Radja Nainggolan in the middle of the pitch, while The Citizens have been on the market for quite a while since they’ve been trying to sign a long-term replacement for Fernandinho.

It remains to be seen how much will Atletico ask for Thomas, though. But considering his release clause is “only” €50million, top sides in Europe can definitively pay that amount. So don’t be surprised if the talented 25-year-old ends up playing elsewhere once the 2019-20 season kicks in.
