Daniel Sturridge hasn’t had many first-team minutes at Liverpool this season, and there’s a huge chance to leave The Reds once the current season ends. Especially since he’s going to become a free agent next summer.
Several teams are expected to reach out to him, especially if he’s going to be available for free. When fit and with consistent first-team minutes, Sturridge could easily contend for a spot on England’s national team. And considering his impending availability, lots of teams could be knocking on his door come summer time.
One of these teams is going to be Real Betis, as they are reportedly interested in the pacey striker, according to a report from France Football. Los Beticos, who are currently playing in the UEFA Europa League, are aiming to become a giant in La Liga and have been linked with several top players. Sturridge is the latest of them.
Considering the presence of players such as Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi, Sturridge would be wise to search for opportunities elsewhere. He might not have the pace he had years ago, but he can still be productive. And he would fit quite well in La Liga, as Betis have lots of pacey players on their own squad as well.
Betis would have to contend with other sides, though. It is believed that Tottenham are reportedly interested in the Liverpool forward as well.
