Liverpool Considering Lorenzo Insigne Move

Apparently, Liverpool do not believe in the saying of having “too many attackers”. Instead, it seems as if they remain to add even more attacking-minded players into their current squad, even if that means creating a logjam that would threaten everyone’s playing time.

At least that’s what we can understand if we believe the recent transfer rumours related to the Merseyside club. Based on reports coming out of both England and Italy, it seems Jurgen Klopp is determined to make a move for Lorenzo Insigne, as he feels the Napoli and Italy star will be the perfect addition to the squad.

One thing that might cause a problem is the fact that The Reds already have a lot of depth on the attacking end, though. Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Xherdan Shaqiri and Mohamed Salah have all seen a lot of playing time this season. Adding Insigne would mean one of two things: either Klopp is ready to let someone go – perhaps Salah or Mane – or he will try a different approach.

Either way, it seems unlikely that Liverpool would be willing to pull off a move for Insigne just to keep him on the bench… especially since his playing style is tailor-made for the English Premier League. His pace and on-the-ball skills are just perfect for the EPL, and perfect for Liverpool’s intense playing style.

It remains to be seen whether The Reds will concrete the deal or not. But there is no question that adding Insigne would make their attack even more powerful, which is bad news for the rest of both their Premier League and Champions League opponents.
