Bayern Munich have given their clearest indication to date on the future of attacking midfield wizard Mario Gotze, 23.
The Bavarian clubs Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said “The length of his contract is known, I don’t know any more. Neither he nor his advisor have stated anything publicly. So everything is speculation.”
This will come as a blow for Liverpool, as manager Jurgen Klopp had made his former player Gotze his number 1 target this summer.
Klopp and Gotze enjoyed an incredible amount of success together, when the player played under Klopp for their former club Borussia Dortmund.
It is this special relationship that made Liverpool front runners for the Germany internationals signature, however this latest update from Rummenigge casts further doubt.
