One of the best players for Real Madrid over the last 12 months has reportedly extended his tenure with the current UEFA Champions League title holders.
According to an official statement from the club, Real Madrid has extended Isco Alarcon’s contract. As a result, the Spain international will now remain under contract with Los Blancos until the summer of 2022. The new deal will also feature a massive €700million (£622m) buyout clause. The Spain midfielder will sign the new five-year deal on Friday lunchtime.
“Tomorrow Friday, at 14:00, Isco will appear before the media in the press room the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.”
The new contract comes as a big reward for Isco, as the former Malaga star was struggling for regular action, and at one point he was linked with a move to the Premier League. He entered the final 18 months of his contract at odds with manager Zinedine Zidane, who openly questioned his commitment and desire to be with the club.
