Real Betis have completed the signing of Borja Iglesias from Espanyol! The club from Seville have signed the Spanish forward for €28m, which is one of the bigger transfer fees in transfers not including the three biggest La Liga clubs.
Betis have been able to spend nicely on the 26-year-old, following their business of signing Lo Celso from PSG and then selling him on to Tottenham Hotspur last week. Iglesias arrives from Espanyol on the back of his first real season in La Liga, that has gone very well, scoring 17 goals, with his total tally in all competitions at 20 goals in 43 matches.
Betis have had quite an interesting summer, also signing Nabil Fekir from Lyon, Juanmi from Real Sociedad, Barcelona’s Emerson and loaned Alfonso Pedraza from Villarreal. Iglesias will now get his chance to prove himself at a club that really missed a proper goalscorer last season, while Quique Setien was still the head coach.
