Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is set to be offered the chance of a brand new start at the London Stadium in January, reports the Guardian.

West Ham United boss David Moyes is keen to add the England international to his squad and the promise of regular first team football may be too good to ignore for the 25-year-old.

The Gunners have yet to offer their midfield talent a new deal despite his contract expiring next summer. Arsene Wenger has repeatedly said that Wilshere had until December to prove his fitness but despite the player doing so, talks have yet to begin.

Wilshere was impressive during Arsenal’s win over BATE Borisov last week and his performance when West Ham entertained the Gunners earlier this evening. Directing play from the deeper midfield role, Wilshere was Arsenal’s best tool in a blunted attack.

David Moyes made no secret of his admiration for the midfielder before the game. “Jack Wilshere would be someone who we’d have to look at if he was available,” he declared at his press conference.

West Ham co-owner David Sulivan told fans that there would be two or three new signings this winter and the prospect of Wilshere arriving in the East End of London. If one were Jack Wilshere, the feelgood factor might just return to the club.
