One of Juventus‘ biggest strengths this past season was their midfield, as players such as Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira and Blaise Matuidi often ran the show for the reigning Serie A title holders. But manager Max Allegri is not happy and wanted to add one more quality talent to the middle of the pitch just in case Claudio Marchisio ends up leaving the side, as expected.

With that in mind, The Old Lady are set to complete a deal for CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin. In fact, the Serie A giants already reached an agreement with the 22-year-old playmaker when it comes to personal terms, and also sealed the deal with CSKA, as the Russian giants have accepted Juventus’ €20 million proposal for their star player.

Right now, it seems only minor details separate Golovin from Juventus, and the deal could be announced in any minute now. Let’s remember that the 22-year-old midfielder is getting ready to represent Russia in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where he is expected to be one of the team’s leaders despite his young age.

His quality has been there, however, as Golovin has tallied 13 goals and 11 assists in 113 competitive outings for CSKA Moscow. He is expected to deploy as a central midfielder in Juventus.
