AC Milan‘s summer spending spree wasn’t successful, and the Serie A giants are reportedly set to go on another monetary raid during the upcoming summer.
There are several names that have already been linked with a move to the Serie A side, although one that stands out is the one of a Dutch winger that is terrorizing opposing defences in the Ligue 1. We are talking about Lyon’s star winger Memphis Depay.
The 23-year-old has looked impressive in Lyon, and has assembled one of the most productive attacking lines in Europe alongside Nabil Fekir and Mariano Diaz. In fact, Depay has 14 goals in 40 league outings with Lyon, and it seems his poor performance with Manchester United has been left in the past.
His excellent performances in Lyon have caught the eye of several teams, although it is believed that Milan are reportedly considered front-runners to land him. They are weighing up a summer bid for his services, and La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported Milan are willing to offer up to €25 million for the Netherlands international.
It remains to be seen whether Lyon will consider selling one of their star players, but considering they already have an in-house replacement in Bertrand Traore and Maxwel Cornet, all signs indicate Depay could make the jump to a bigger team sooner than later.
