Alassane Plea could be one of the hottest names in the transfer market during the upcoming window. The Nice striker is all but set to leave his current side, and there are already two important European sides that are vying for his signature.

Based on a report from France Football, both AS Monaco and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in making a strong push for the 25-year-old. Despite the fact Plea had to share the attacking duties with Mario Balotelli, he stood above everyone else and completed a strong season for the French side.

With that in mind, both Dortmund and Monaco could use him. Dortmund need to find a new striker considering it is unlikely they will be able to retain Michy Batshuayi, while Monaco could partner Plea upfront with Radamel Falcao, creating a deadly partnership for a team looking to win another Ligue 1 title.

It remains to be seen whether Nice are keen to part ways with him, though. They are said to be holding out for a €20 million fee, but they also must replace Balotelli and in that scenario, Plea seems like the perfect alternative to fill the void that will be left by the Italian international.

Plea ended the campaign with 21 goals and seven assists in 49 matches across all competitions for Nice.
