Zinedine Zidane is not happy with what he’s seen from Real Madrid this season. Even though the French tactician had to work with a squad that wasn’t assembled by him, the former World Cup winner is already planning what changes he’ll make to the side ahead of the 2019-20 season.
According to MARCA, the Real Madrid manager has already started shaping the squad for the upcoming season and there are three names that would reportedly not continue playing for the Santiago Bernabeu side. These are Gareth Bale, Marcos Llorente, and Dani Ceballos.
Undoubtedly, the biggest name here is Bale. Who once was the world’s most expensive player now has become a regular scapegoat and several supporters want him gone. He’s been somewhat productive, but injuries and the fact he never settled completely in Madrid have complicated his tenure with Los Blancos.
Furthermore, many expected Bale to take a step forward following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and he hasn’t really done it. He’s clearly not performing at the standards of someone as expensive as him.
Ceballos and Llorente, on the other hand, have never really made the cut at Real, and their respective futures away from the club have been speculated about for a long time as well. So it shouldn’t be much of a surprise to see both being transfer listed.
