Juventus have already won the 2018/19 Serie A title, but they want bigger and better accomplishments heading into the 2019/20 campaign. And that’s why the club is already looking for potential reinforcements on both sides of the ball.
According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have already found their two top targets for the upcoming transfer window and the idea would be to strengthen the club on both ends of the pitch. Therefore, The Old Lady will reportedly prioritise moves for PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot and Ajax defender Matthis de Ligt.
Expect them to have strong competition to sign both players, though. While de Ligt is a wanted man and there’s talk of Barcelona looking at the centre-back, several top Premier League side – as well as Barca and Real Madrid – have posed their eyes on Rabiot.
This is not the first time either of these two players is linked with a switch to Juventus, though. In fact, many pundits believe Juventus reportedly lead the race for de Ligt, while the Rabiot link is “relatively fresh” after the former France international was separated from his club earlier this season.
Undoubtedly, both players would be solid additions for Juventus. But they’re looking at other alternatives as well, since they’ve been linked with Alexis Sanchez, James Rodriguez and even Mohamed Salah over the past few weeks.
