The transfer window in the most European leagues has just ended and Christian Eriksen has stayed at Tottenham Hotspur. As the Danish playmaker has entered his final year of the contract at Spurs, he could leave the club on 30 June 2020.
While non-English teams will be looking forward to 1 January 2020, when they will be allowed to make an offer to the player for a pre-contract, Manchester United will be looking to January transfer window to make an offer for the player. If Eriksen does not sign the new Tottenham contract before the New Year, Man United could be open to making an offer to Daniel Levy, according to several English media outlets.
This would make sense for the Devils, as they would be trying to get a player their team needs and also paying less than what is Eriksen’s realistic value, due to being six months away from the end of the contract. That way Spurs could also earn some money, rather than losing him on a free contract.
