Lazio winger Felipe Anderson is being tracked by former Premier League champions Leicester City claims the Leicester Mercury.

But the Foxes aren’t going to have things their own way with top-flight rivals Southampton and West Ham United also monitoring the 25-year-old’s situation.

Having missed out on Champions League football following their harrowing 3 – 2 home defeat to Inter Milan on the final day of the season, the Biancocelesti are understood to be willing to listen to offers for the former Brazil international.

Last season proved productive with Anderson scoring 8 goals and registering 10 assists in his 32 club appearances. The statistics are more impressive than they seem; he missed the first half of the season with a hip injury only returning to the first team in November.

He moved to the Eternal City in 2013 in a €7.8m deal from legendary Brazilian club Santos, for whom he made more than 100 appearances. Since then, he has featured 177 times for Lazio, scoring 43 goals.

Anderson was heavily linked with Manchester United in the past and is seen at the King Power as a like-for-like replacement for Riyad Mahrez with the versatility to play on the flanks or in a more central role.

With Manchester City rekindling their interest in the Algeria international, Leicester are examining all their options to improve on this season’s performances.
