There are several doubts regarding how different Manchester United will look over the summer. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to make several changes among the squad ahead of the 2019/20 season and among the players likely to leave, we can find names such as Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.
This means The Red Devils will go out and sign attacking players. And one of the names that has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford switch is the one of Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, according to L’Equipe.
The French striker is only 22 years old and has been thriving in his first year on the Ligue 1 giants. He moved there during this past summer from Scottish side Celtic and has scored 18 goals in all competitions, filling the void left by Mariano Diaz but also forming an impressive partnership with a former United player, Memphis Depay.
United believe a bid of around £43 million could be enough to trigger a move. Considering Dembele left Celtic for £20m, there’s a chance Lyon will accept such bid considering they would already double the amount they paid for him. But Dembele still has four years left on his contract at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais, so Lyon aren’t in a rush to part ways with him.
