One of the biggest priorities for Manchester United during the upcoming transfer window would be to acquire a left-back since Luke Shaw is probably gone and Ashley Young is not getting any younger.
Several names have been linked with a move to Old Trafford, but the Premier League giants apparently have a target on mind since they are keen on Brazilian defender Alex Sandro from Juventus.
The Red Devils plan to insert Alex Sandro as the team’s starting left-back for the foreseeable future, and his positional versatility – since he can also operate as a left winger at times – would be quite appealing to Jose Mourinho. And it seems there is no better time to make a move for the Brazil international since Juventus are decided to listen to offers for the 27-year-old.
Manchester United would probably have competition for the Brazilian. Sandro was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, but The Blues are no longer interested in him due to Marcos Alonso’s rise to stardom and the presence of Emerson as a backup.
Despite all the rumours, Alex Sandro won’t leave Juventus for cheap since the Serie A giants want between €50M and €60M for his services. The 27-year-old has so far made 111 competitive appearances for the Bianconeri, scoring 9 goals and setting up another 17.
