Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala might be the two most important and recognized players on Juventus attacking line, but Mario Mandzukic’s contributions can’t be overlooked. The Croatian forward has become a vital piece on the Serie A giants due to his goalscoring ability and the fact that he can play on several positions upfront.

The Old Lady have rewarded the former Bayern Munich star with a new deal, as Mandzukic will now be part of Juventus until the end of the 2020-21 season. The club confirmed the news on an official press release available on its website.

Mandzukic has emerged as a reliable alternative upfront for Juventus. The 32-year-old former Croatia international (89 caps, 33 goals) has been in Juventus since 2015 after joining from Atletico Madrid and has scored 43 goals while delivering 19 assists in 159 matches with the Bianconeri side.

He’s been in and out of the starting XI this season due to insane amount of competition on the club, but he’s performed quite well when expected. And undoubtedly, his good relationship on the pitch with Cristiano Ronaldo might have helped towards signing an extension as well. Those two have formed quite a society on the Bianconeri attack.

During the current term, Mandzukic has eight goals and six assists in the Serie A.
