Chelsea are ready to face off against [takes a deep breath] Everton, Juventus and Manchester United for the services of FC Porto defender Eder Militao, claims the Mail.

The Premier League trio are all looking to remodel their defences with the versatile Brazilian topping their wanted lists. Just 20-years-old, Eder moved to the Estadio Dragao in 2017 after Manchester City dropped their interest in the former Sao Paulo man.

Speculation is rife that Chelsea will make a move for the centre-back during the January transfer window with the defender represented by the same agency as fellow Brazilians David Luiz and Willian.

It is expected Porto would make a significant profit on selling Militao. The Azuis e brancos paid the Brazilian Serie A club €8m for the centre-back although it’s understood there is a sell-on clause of 10% due as well.

Equally comfortable as a defensive midfielder, Eder scored his first goal scored his first goal for Porto in last week’s 3 – 1 win over Schalke 04 in the Champions League. It came in his 14th appearance for the club in all competitions.

In September, he made his full international debut for Brazil during the 5 – 0 win over El Salvador at FedEx Field in Washington.
