Martin Odegaard has been heralded as one of the top prospect in world football ever since he was a teenager playing for Stromsgodset in his native Norway. Even though he has spent the last few years on loan after signing with Real Madrid, his wonderkid status has never left him behind.
However, the Norway international seems to have taken a step forward in his development this season after joining Real Sociedad. He has been one of the best players for a surprising Basque side, and some of the top teams in the world are keeping close tabs on his progress. Especially since Real Madrid have not shown any signs of wanting him back at the Santiago Bernabeu any time soon.
With that in mind, two Premier League giants have already set their sights on a potential move for the talented playmaker. Both Manchester City and Arsenal are monitoring Odegaard’s campaign at Estadio Anoeta, although there’s no indication they would make an approach for him during January.
For what is worth, it is believed that Real Madrid would be open to part ways with the Norway star for a fee of around €20 million. That’s quite cheap for a player who is loaded with potential.
