Manchester City did not really spend big last summer, after winning Premier League comfortably, but that should change this summer. Daily Mail claim that the current champions of England have targeted two defenders.
Pep Guardiola seemingly wants to reinforce the backline and solutions could be Ben Chilwell and Mathijs de Ligt! The Leicester City and Ajax defenders are having really good individual seasons and joining Man City could be a reward for that.
Guardiola has drastically altered City’s summer transfer plans. Now wants up to four new signings. Ndombele, Chilwell, De Ligt and Jovic all on radar #mcfc

Manchester City are being monitored by FIFA for their practice of signing underage players from overseas, which could potentially see them banned similarly to the way Chelsea were recently. That could make City work fast and sign players as soon as possible and their financial strength is never going to be problem.
De Ligt is followed by every big European club, most notably Barcelona, while Chilwell could be an expensive, domestic option if the Dutchman feels like City would not be his next move. Either way, this will be a very interesting summer for all Man City fans.
