Christian Eriksen is far and away the best player from Tottenham Hotspur. However, that might not be the case anymore as Paris Saint Germain are lining up a £100m bid for the Denmark international. according to a report from the Express.
The reigning Ligue 1 champions are keen to make an approach for the former Ajax star, although acquiring could be a bit complicated based on Tottenham’s current stance. The team is apparently having cash issues and they did not add a single player during the recent transfer period. Losing their most talented playmaker would be a huge blow that could derail their top-four aspirations.
Plus, Eriksen still has two years remaining on his current deal, though unlike several of his teammates, is yet to extend his current deal amid several offers around him. Teams like FC Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for the 26-year-old star.
There is no question Eriksen would fit perfectly at PSG. Les Parisiens don’t have a player of his characteristics on the current squad, and he could form a deadly trio with the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe playing behind Edinson Cavani.
Eriksen joined Spurs back in 2013 and has since racked up 226 appearances with 56 goals across all competitions for the London-based side. He was also the Player of the Season on both 2014 and 2017 for the club.
The talented n° 10 also played with his national team on the 2018 FIFA World Cup and netted a goal against Australia during the Group Stage.
