Bayern Munich have said to be interested in adding at least one winger during the current transfer window. The departure of Douglas Costa, the stalled progress of Kingsley Coman and the fact that both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are not getting any younger have forced Bayern to search for alternatives in the transfer market.
Several names have been linked with a potential switch to the Bundesliga champions, and the latest to be rumoured is none other than Ante Rebic. If his name sounds familiar, it’s because he was one of the best players for Croatia during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Rebic currently plays for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, but he would be interested in moving to a bigger club. And there is no question that Bayern would fit that mold.
In fact, Rebic’s agent Fali Ramadani is even said to have cut his holiday short in order to fly to Munich this week. The Bavarians are hoping to negotiate a deal around €40 million for the Croatian international. However, Frankfurt are not going to let him go easily since he is the undisputed star on the team.
Bayern would have competition to sign Rebic, though. Fiorentina, Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United are also said to be keen on the prospect of signing the highly-rated winger.
