Manchester United received a boost in their chase for Tottenham defender Danny Rose, 27. According to the Daily Mirror, the Red Devils are preparing a £50m bid for the England international and their own supporters are fully behind the club’s move.
Luke Shaw, 23, is the target of United fans ire, held responsible for the club’s Under-23 defeat at West Ham this weekend.
Social media was awash with fans proclaiming the end of Shaw’s spell at Old Trafford:
Think Luke Shaw is done at United. Wouldn’t mind a swap for Danny rose.

Shaw’s injury and weight issues have seen him fall from grace with Jose Mourinho, failing to cement a permanent place in the Portuguese manager’s plans.
The prospect of reuniting with Mauricio Pochettino may appeal to the United defender. According to West Ham defender Jose Fonte, Shaw was treated like a son by the Tottenham manager during his spell at Southampton.
Tottenham fans are reluctant to see Rose leave even though they have yet to see the England international in action since the turn of the year.
Forever cemented in their hearts for his goal against Arsenal in 2010, Rose was a pivotal member of the Tottenham squad which has improved so vastly over the past couple of seasons.
With Kyle Walker already departed along with intense speculation over the futures of Harry Kane and Dele Alli, seeing Rose leave might give the wrong signal of a squad falling apart.
