Manchester United In For Joe Hart If De Gea Leaves

Manchester United are set to offer Joe Hart an end to his Manchester City nightmare, according to the Sunday Express.

The England stopper spent last season on loan at Torino but failed to impress and didn’t land a permanent move. Torino president, Urbano Cairo, observed that while Hart was a good shot stopper, the club didn’t expect so many mistakes from his country’s number one.

Suitors are in short supply for Hart. City are demanding £25m as a fee, while his weekly salary of £125,000 is also deterring interest.

However, recent reports of David De Gea putting his house on the market fuelled speculation that the Spaniard was heading to Real Madrid this summer. United are one of the few clubs who could afford both fee and wages for Hart.

Pep Guardiola is believed to have agreed to Hart moving across Manchester and may be hoping that, as well as the fee, six points are gifted to City during the Mancunian derbies next season.

Goalkeepers are proving the Catalan’s Achilles Heel with Claudio Bravo failing to impress and Willy Caballero joining Chelsea. Ederson, the uncapped Brazilian, joined in a £35m deal this summer from Benfica to solve the problem.
