Based on talent alone, there is no question Liverpool have one of the most complete, talented attacking lines in Europe. Featuring names such as Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Xherdan Shaqiri, The Reds own lots of talent in the final meters.
However, that doesn’t mean The Reds are done looking at the transfer market. And according to recent reports on both Spain and England, the Anfield side has reportedly submitted an offer for Atletic Bilbao’s Iker Muniain. Spanish outlet MARCA was the first one to report Liverpool’s interest.
The 25-year-old winger, who has been a regular name in Athletic’s first team ever since he was 16 years old, has already accounted for 357 first-team appearances while scoring 51 goals in all competitions for the Basque side. Muniain’s versatility can also be a plus, since he can operated either as a winger, or on a more central role. But he thrives on a wider position.
The Spaniard, who is entering the final year of his current deal, might want to exploit the situation and Liverpool are keen to offer him a substantial deal to facilitate his move to Anfield. But it remains to be seen whether Muniain will want to accept to move elsewhere, especially considering the amount of talent on Liverpool’s final third.
