Nobody could say Arsenal lack any sort of depth on the attacking end. The likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Danny Welbeck, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Özil comprehend one of the most talented attacking units in the world.
However, The Gunners are not happy and are always looking for reinforcements. It has been revealed that the club’s scouting “shaman”, Sven Mislintat, has identified a player who could step in and contribute right away while also being an important part of the team’s future.
That player is none other than winger Ismaila Sarr. The 21-year-old Senegal international featured in the 2018 FIFA World Cup with his country and currently play for Rennes in the French Ligue 1. That has been one of the reasons why most have already dubbed him “the new Ousmane Dembele”, since the Barca winger started his career on that same French side.
However, it won’t be easy to sign him from Rennes, as they are unwilling to part ways with the talented forward midway through the season, especially since they are currently playing in the Europa League. Therefore, Arsenal might be better suited to wait – until January at least – to make an approach for the coveted winger. By then, though, there could be quite a bidding war for his services.
