The German international is reportedly not keen to extend his tenure at Anfield Road, and all signs indicate he will become a free agent at the end of the current season. But foreign clubs can approach Can in January to offer him a pre-contract agreement, and that’s exactly what Juventus want to do.
In fact, the Serie A is even willing to include a few players in the negotiation to entice Liverpool to make the deal. The latest reports have indicated that The Old Lady are keen to add Marko Pjaca into any potential deal. And it seems the move makes sense for both sides.
The 23-year-old Can would act as a potential long-term defensive midfielder, perhaps replacing Sami Khedira and establishing a great partnership with the likes of Blaise Matuidi and Miralem Pjanic.
Meanwhile, Liverpool could certainly use a player like Pjaca. Even though the attacking line already features names such as Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho, the Croatian would be a more-than-adequate backup option for any of the wing roles, since he can play on both flanks with equal ease.
