Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea, Abramovich approves move

Chelsea are ready to resign Romelu Lukaku, 22, after selling the player to Everton in 2014, the Blues will launch a summer bid to bring him back to the Bridge.

New boss Antonio Conte and owner Roman Abramovich have decided to right former manager Jose Mourinho’s wrong and resign Lukaku in the next window.

The Belgian international striker has been in unstoppable form the season, scoring 18 goals in 28 games, and with Chelsea struggling upfront they see Lukaku as the ideal signing.

It may be the case the Chelsea opt for a bumper joint bid for Lukaku and John Stones from Everton, having been linked to the English central defender.

With Chelsea having such a disappointing season, the rebuilding job has already begun at the Bridge. It is expected that bids for both Lukaku and Stones will immediately be made at the end of the season after Conte has given his seal of approval.
