AC Milan were one of the biggest spenders during the past transfer window. However, there is a chance they could be forced to sell one of the players they recently acquired in order to balance their books.
The Serie A giants are looking to avoid problems with the Financial Fair Play rules, and one of the names that could the side is no other than Andre Silva. The 21-year-old Portugal international has not exactly settled properly in Italy, and has not been able to secure a starting spot in Vincenzo Montella’s side.
Montella has constantly preferred to start Nikola Kalinic or youngster Patrick Cutrone upfront, leaving Andre Silva on a secondary role. We already know Arsenal are keen on the situation, but they are not the only team monitoring the former Porto star in an effort to bolster their attacking options.
The Gunners are likely to face competition from FC Barcelona, as the current Liga leaders are also monitoring the attacker’s progress. But he would face a similar scenario in Los Blaugranas to the one he is currently going through at San Siro, since he would likely be forced to a secondary role behind Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
Silva has scored six goals in the UEFA Europa League this season, but he is yet to find the back of the net in Serie A play. So far he has registered 11 appearances for the San Siro outfit in the current term.
