FC Barcelona have joined Manchester United in the chase for Red Bull Salzburg hotshot and Norway international Erling Braut Haaland.

The Red Devils had been previously linked with the former Molde star, who is the son of former Manchester City defender Alf-Inge Haaland, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said he talks “regularly” with the young prospect. But Barcelona are also open to sign him if the chance arises.

In fact, it is believed that Los Blaugranas already reached out to make an offer for the player, although there hasn’t been news regarding a potential move. But there could be news on January if Haaland keeps playing like this for the next two or three months.

Haaland has been nothing but extraordinary this season. Aside from registering a record hat-trick on his UEFA Champions League debut, he also has 11 goals and five assists in seven Austrian Bundesliga appearances. If we count all competitions into the mix, then the 19-year-old striker already has 17 goals and five assists in nine matches.

This hasn’t been the first time Haaland makes headlines, though. He already impressed the world when he scored NINE goals in a single match against Honduras during this year’s U20 FIFA World Cup.
