If the transfer rumours are true, then Julian Weigl does not have a lot of time left at Borussia Dortmund.
FC Barcelona are considered favourites to land the coveted German midfielder, but they are not the only team interested in the talented playmaker. Several reports in Europe are indicating that both Juventus and Manchester City are keen to capture the Dortmund player during the transfer window next year.
In fact, the reigning Italian champions are reportedly ready to submit a massive offer for Weigl in January if they get positive signs from his camp. Placing him at Juventus Stadium would certainly create an embarrassment of riches for The Old Lady, as they also have Sami Khedira, Blaise Matuidi, Rodrigo Betancur, Miralem Pjanic and Claudio Marchisio for two central-midfield roles.
PSG are said to be keen to Weigl too, but they are not extremely interested in getting into a bidding war. Right now, it seems Juve and Barca are the front-runners while City are lurking in the dark waiting for their opportunity to make a move.
Weigl is not going to be cheap, though. Dortmund are expected to have an asking price of at least £50 million for his star midfielder. So any team that wants to sign him will have to be ready to spend some serious cash.
