Gareth Bale is likely to leave Real Madrid this summer, but the only question is where he will land.
The Wales international was linked with a move to Manchester United, but The Red Devils do not seem eager to take him due to his astronomic wages. However, a recent report coming out of England has the former Tottenham star potentially leaving to another top European side such as Bayern Munich.
According to The Sun, Bayern Munich are looking to land the Welshman on a season-long loan and would be willing to pay his £350,000-a-week wages too. That might end up being a deal breaker on Bayern’s favour, since no other side has been keen to pay Bale’s wages entirely.
Of course, Bayern are in dire need of depth on the wings. Having lost both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery this summer, Die Roten still have the likes of Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry for those roles but could certainly use another more experienced player. Bale would certainly fit quite well in Bayern’s scheme since he can play on both flanks with equal ease.
Bale had an underwhelming season (by his standards) during the 2018-19 season, notching eight goals and three assists in 29 La Liga appearances. He also added three goals and two assists in seven UEFA Champions League outings.
