Dries Mertens could leave Napoli! After his arrival from PSV Eindhoven in 2013, now another PSV-to-Napoli move could make a faster transition for his departure to happen, as Hirving Lozano went that route in the summer of 2019.
The Belgian has been talked about as someone that could be leaving the club very soon ever since that Lozano move happened and according to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Mertens could move to either Major League Soccer or the Chinese Super League. This could happen as early as January transfer window, as that is when the two leagues are preparing for a new season.
The 32-year-old from Leuven has a contract with Napoli until the end of the current season and after that he could free to go. MLS clubs are reportedly interested to exploit that, while Chinese clubs have the financial power to sign him already in the first months of 2020.
