Jan Oblak has to be one of the most in-demand goalkeepers in the world at the moment. The Slovenian international is having another sensational year playing for Atletico Madrid, and there has been a lot of talk regarding a potential transfer during the upcoming summer.
And even though Los Colchoneros have remained silent about a potential departure of oneo of their best players, other teams are taking notice. And according to a report on Spain’s TV show “El Chiringuito”, Atletico have received an Madrid have received an important offer for the Slovenian goalkeeper.
Signing Oblak is not going to be easy, though. He has a €100 million release clause in his current contract, and it is believed that Atletico are not going to let him go for anything less than that sum. That would make him the most expensive goalkeeper in history, but also one of the most expensive transfers EVER.
It is believed that PSG are the team that submitted the offer, as they have been linked with Oblak as a replacement for both Alphonse Areola and Kevin Trapp, with the latter slated to leave the club in the summer.
The former Benfica star is set to claim another Zamora Trophy thanks to a stellar season between the posts for Atletico, and the team is also alive on the UEFA Europa League where they seem set to reach the semifinals.
The Slovenian goalkeeper has spent last four years in Madrid, amassing 110 La Liga appearances and featuring in 34 Champions League matches.
