Juventus are willing to do everything they can to secure a move for Manchester United’s midfielder Paul Pogba. And according to recent reports, The Old Lady are inclined to add a player to a substantial amount of cash if that’s what it takes to sign the Frenchman.
Pogba, who already played for Juventus before returning to Manchester United, has not said anything about his future and is currently sidelined with an injury that will keep him out until December at the earliest. But the reigning Serie A champions are looking to sign the 2018 World Cup winner during January if the chance arises.
The transfer has not been determined, but Juventus have showed a willigness to include a player if that sweetens the deal. According to a report from Italian outlet Tuttosport, The Red Devils would be able to pick one of Mario Mandzukic, Blaise Matuidi, Emre Can or Daniele Rugani to secure Pogba’s arrival to the Juventus Stadium.
Given the team’s composition, Matuidi and Mandzukic would make sense the most for United. Rugani is a step below Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly, while Emre Can might not be needed since United already have defensive midfielders in Fred and Scott McTominay.
Mandzukic, on the other hand, would boost an attacking line that clearly lacks a typical striker, and the Croatian would fit the bill. Meanwhile, Matuidi is one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the world. He could operate as the direct replacement for Pogba.
