The wait lasted for so long but it is finally over – Kieran Tierney is the new Arsenal player! The Gunners have been doing their business for the left-back almost whole summer and now he has arrived. Arsenal have completed the signing of the Scotland international from Celtic, for a fee of £25m, according to various sources.
The 22-year-old defender was rumoured for a move to the Emirates for the past two months and in the end the deal was finished on the final day of the English summer transfer window. Tierney has signed a five-year contract, that ties him to Arsenal until June 2024 and he will be expected to compete with Sead Kolasinac for the place in the starting lineup.
Tierney is Arsenal’s fourth signing, after Nicolas Pepe, William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli, while David Luiz could be announced as the final summer signing later on Thursday evening.
