PSG acquired Neymar in what most experts are already dubbing the signing of the century. However, the Ligue 1 giants are not done with their summer spending and have already set their sights in another target.
This time, the French side is reportedly looking to improve their depth at the goalkeeping depth. Kevin Trapp is the starter, but PSG want to sign a world-class keeper that could help them bolster their chances of winning the UEFA Champions League. And they are targeting Jan Oblak, the Slovenian goalkeeper from Atletico Madrid.
Oblak has improved massively over the last two years, and he is widely considered one of the best five goalkeepers in the world right now. In fact, PSG are keen to pay Oblak’s recision clause of 100 million, and A Bola recently reported both parties could meet “sometime next week”.
This is not the first time PSG express their interest in Oblak, though. They were already keen in the Slovenian international back in May, and at that time they were willing to offer around 60M to land him. But the new offer suggests PSG are dead serious to land the 24-year-old.
Oblak has been with Atletico Madrid since the 2014 season. He won the Zamora Trophy in each of the last two seasons.
