FC Barcelona remain extremely interested in securing a move to acquire Chelsea‘s playmaker Willian. However, they will need to increase their offer to land the Brazil international who has been tearing it up for La Selecao during the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Los Blaugranas have been interested in him for the past three or four months, but had not submitted an offer yet. That changed over the last few days, however, and Barca reportedly offered Chelsea a mammoth £50 million bid, but The Blues rejected it quickyl.

It is believed that Chelsea are doing everything they can to price the La Liga champions out of a move for the Brazilian winger, or at the very least, they are looking to get a bit more money to get the deal done. Chelsea are standing firm on wanting more than £50 million for Willian, and are not going to lower the price tag any time soon.

Willian has been at Chelsea since 2013 when he joined from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala. He previously played for Corinthians and Shakhtar Donetsk. Through his career, Willian has scored 44 goals and added 39 assists in 236 matches with the Stamford Bridge outfit. He has also won 60 caps (eight goals) with Brazil.
